Hi everyone,

I have a Rampage pro which has 2 1/2 tanks through it. I also have a killer bee kill switch installed. Yesterday while running, the engine was running fine for about 15 min, then it began to stall when at standstill. I was able to restart and run but again stalled at standstill and could not restart. Any ideas here? Bad spark plug, clutch bad, bad ignition wire? Any help would be great. thanks

Run it again and when it starts acting up, open the gas cap. If you hear the pressure release, and it runs fine again, its just a vent problem.

Pull the plug, dry it off. Turn the car upside and pull it a few times so the excess fuel can be ejected out the spark plug hole. Or you could let it sit for about 30min or so.

I had this same issue last week. On my 3rd tank of fuel I could not get the truck to start no matter what i did. Are you running the stock carb? Because I was running the stock carb when i was having problems I swapped out stock carb with an 813 and she fired right up in 1 pull. The trucks been running great since.

Yeah stock carb. Did redcat replace carb? Who makes 813 carb. I'm new to gas. Always ran electric which are a lot easier to run

Ok I put in a new Ngk plug in. Reset L and H needle to factory settings, opened and closed gas tank. Started up but smoked a lot. Ran for about 5 min then idle began stall and shut off again. I believe engine is flooding. Is carb bad? Bad tune?

I'm starting to think the fuel line going into tank is not sitting on bottom causing me to stall when I get to about 1/4 tank. Has this happened to anyone?

I'm new to gas so not sure which is vent line. There r two lines that appear to be going to gas tank. Which one is vent?

If you forget easily (like me) take off both lines from the carb. Put your finger on one nipple. Pump the primer. Does it suck or blow air? One nipple sucks (supply), one blows (return).

To mark the lines coming out of the tank I popped the grommet out to see which one has the filter. I then put a bright zip tie around the base of the filtered supply line and wrote on my radio box lid "SUPP ZIP".

Know I know the ziptied line is supply that goes to the nipple that sucks. I have bad memory so this works best for me.

Ok don't think it's lines. Filled up today, started up and it ran for about 30 sec, stalled and did not restart. I'm thinking carb is not fuctioioning correctly. I also opened up the vent hole on gas cap so venting should not be an issue Any other suggestions?

Remove spark plug to see what look like, wet, black ,if you get spark plug wet,it flood ,you need clean your spark plug ,adjust your carb. You look your carb to see any gas on top prime pump.If you don't see any,you have no fuel to carb.

If I were you I would just replace the carb it is a $45.00 investment for a much superior performance then the stock carb. I could not get the stock carb to work at all after 2 tanks in like I mentioned before.
