Is there a stand I can buy that these cats will fit on or do I need to make one? I seen guys using the rigid stand as a base on the baja forum and it got me thinking I need a stand getting sick of using old speaker boxes. Any tips or something I could buy would kick a$$

Basicly looks like a tri-pod stand for a old movie projector.

"For display only"

Maybe camera tripod and make your own bracket.

Only use the plastic x-mass tree a few weeks, then main parts are a car stand ... :)

Lol I have been eying up the rigid stand that Lowe's or home depot sell for 29 bucks and then I would need to make a adapter to hold the trucks. I don't have a welder at this time. Speaking of that what kinda welder should I be looking at buying to.modify pipes and make cages and such.? A mig?

So a mig wire feed then with 110 volts? I don't want to break the bank and also want a decent welder tho. I wanted to check harbor freight see what's up there

I made a stand with parts from Home Depot that tilt's. It cost about $40 to make. Here is a picture of my XT on it. If you are interested I can snap some more pics and tell you what I bought.Derick

Here are the other pics. I spent in the ball park of $40. I just screwed the rails onto the platform 9 inches apart and that's it. The stand itself if heavy duty and rated for I believe up to 300 pounds or something crazy like that.photo.webp

seeing how i'd rather spend my limited hobby funds on hopups ether that or i'm just cheap i built stands for my m/t and d/r using milk crates. i picked up lazy susan bearings from lowes and mounted them between a couple of pieces of plywood then bolted that to the bottom of the milk crates add some scrap carpet and you've got yourself a stackable revolving work stand for about 7 bucks and the nice thing is when you go out bashing you flip it over and use it as a crate to carry all the crap you're gonna take with you.

I run a miller dynasty 200 DX for making and nodding all my pipes they work great. A MIG is not a good choice for nodding pipes. You can get wire burned into the inside of pipe finding its way into your engine .

That rigid stand works well with some plywood and rubber kitchen drawer liner glued to it.
