Hi, I was looking at a used Fg sportline and noticed on pics it had no front brake setup, the owner said that's how they come and the brakes are a 300 euro upgrade... Is this right as I don't think I've seen one without front brakes?

Regards
Graham

i think the new fg sportslines now come with front cable brakes as standard but not sure with the older ones and 300 euros is a enough to get a set of top end twin pot hydros but to be honest a set of fg cable brakes can be @100 euros and are plenty good enough and work well if fitted and adjusted right i think hes trying his luck mate,id spend more time on here asking all the questions you have and hopefully we can sort you out with a good car and see you get hooked up with a good car check ebay from time to time theres allways fg's going cheap or thes new ones to be had for around 800-1000 euros check out thepitstop-shop.nl or hobbytek both are highly recomened

Thanks rebar...
That's exactly what I said!!! I even checked the site and showed him the price and spec.. Which included front brakes... And he still insists that's how he got it... Iv been put off by his games now anyway! Iv already got a Carson c5 but am getting frustrated buying parts that don't fit(mielke hurricane pipe) and was thinking about upgrading chassis to Fg evo, but think its pointless now... Going to sell the Carson and buy an already well upgraded Fg sportline and add my pipe, I already have adjustable diff for drifting and few other bits... Not much on eBay at the moment so if you know of any decent ones going let me know! Cheers!.

will do mate ive given up on my drift project far to much grip and just wont slide in a nice drift so its now a tarmac spec rally slag point and squirt and stay on the grey bit

I'm having trouble with drift spec aswell.. The rear tyres that come with the Carson are hard enough for drifting(breakaway easily... Maybe too easily!) but still playing around with the diff... Fully locked makes it spin out too easy so just trying to dial it in. Don't know if it's my lack of skill or still haven't found the sweet spot but I'm not giving up... Perhaps faster steering servo might help... Any ideas on that one??? I know hi-tech are better quality but what affects the speed of the servo?
