I pull the handle slowly until the pawl engages the flywheel and then give it a quick yank. If you just grab and pull, you'll break pawls and ropes. Not fun.

I have that same pullstart the v1

I still have several of the V1 on other cars. It's a good pull starter, just not a V2

I do the same thing!! I think it's a nitro technique lol

I've always used this technique from day dot and have never had a broken paw.

Yep! Used to do the same thing with my nitros.

Never broken a prawl. I can't say that about the cheap ropes though... LOL
