starting building a 49cc engine

so im starting to build a 49 cc engine. i bought a 49cc mini bike engine off of ebay with bent cooling fins for a mock up for 70 bucks.



I looked at the piston and it has tow excessively large piston rings .075 x2 piston rings so i found an chain saw piston that has one .056 piston ring that will create less drag hopefully equaling more RPMs. the chain saw piston is approximately .035 taller so i will account for that in my model. here is a picture of the case design so far.



Still have a long way to go but any advice is greatly appreciated thank you

Thats way cool.If you can get it to work there are some very nice options out there for these types of motors.

yep after i get it running ill put it on the dyno then start porting. after that will be a cylinder head kit with removable dome.

hoping by eliminating some drag and rotating mass to get more ponies and rpms. want to be more towards the 8-9 hp range probably a long shot but i have to try.

For a 49cc i,d say it should def be withing reach.
