Hi, ive recently purchased a zen 29. I took it out for a run this morning, went absolutely fine (until a wheel hex went). Ive mended the hex and wanted to see if the repair would last so i took it out to the garden to fire up and see what would happen....

I gave it 2 pulls on choke (it should have fired then) but nothing.

Since the engine it practically brand new, i thought the coil should be in the right position and the intake to be leak free, which led me to think it may be a bad spark plug because i put the tip on the engine, yanked the cord and no spark. But again i found this odd as the engine ran perfectly with the same plug in the morning

Any advice??

Maybe the coil has moved use a business card to set the correct coil gap then try it again

The oil was mixed fine with 25:1 , carb settings are now factory (before L=1/2 H=1 1/18 from mmr) but spark plug sparks fine outside the engine, once screwed in , it fires on choke but then nothing after, just a slightly damp tip with no spark. and im not very enthusiastic about buying a pack of new plugs because they'll likely get fouled.

Fixed!!!! , turned out to be crap jammed in the bottom on the plug short circuiting it, not allowing the spark to jump from the electrode to the bent arm
