I am on my second hitec 5745mg steering servo. I keep destroying them. My truck does see some hard action, but im sure they shouldnt break that easy. I am only running one of them, would running two of them stop this.

Man in model shop said its a must but there again he is an arse and i don't like him.

Please, what am i doing wrong.

Ps i am fully alloy and i do have the steering stops in place. The last one broke because basicallythe pot inside the servo twisted. I don't understand this, it broke off its legs almost:crying: I have set the end points for the servo from my hitec radio gear also

i went through a stage of breaking steering servos done 2 in 2 weeks a while back one multiplex and a hi tec multiplex one just died the hi tec one i managed to snap off the bit with the splines clean off now ive got 2 hi tec ones not had a problem since its a bit more weight but the reponse is much better than before looks a bit neater on mine than it did with just the 1

i broke mine by the servo getting stuck in position. And its own power killing it. Check for debris getting stuck. Twigs done mine i think...

Steering servo is not allowing enough give. If you have the alloy servo saver lesson the amount of bands or change it to the plastic one.

If you decide on getting 2 steering servos, I recommend getting a JR Matchbox to match up/line up the servos perfectly. I killed 2 Rhino Digi 4 servos before I got the JR matchbox! I wish i got it sooner!!! But after I got it, everything is like butter!!! smoooooth!

Hitec HS-5745MG

I have Hitec HS-5745MG and i haven`t have any problems with it...At first i had Futaba but it broked when i had driven 3tanks...Metal gears were not metal ,they were brass..I love to but my monster in his limits on our track,Big long air jumps,Hard offroad drining..lots off beating..

If it's the board that has burnt out then you will not be able to get it repaired in the UK as Hitec Uk don't have or can't get the circuit boards that's what they told me and embarrased as i am i burnt it out trying to get the servo in reverse from the crappy Acoms 2.4 and ended up sending it to Hitec usa who sent me a brand spanking new one ........good on you Hitec and good service.
