Steering servo died

I had the same one, my fhmt hit a fence and broke the spline clean off. Duratrax replaced it for me since it was under warranty. Did you buy yours new?
 
I called Duratrax and they said to send it in. I didn't bash it nor break it. I did get the front left wheel stuck in a bush and maybe the servo burned out because it couldn't move. Not sure. I will wait to see what Duratrax sends me before upgrading.

So it looks like my FHMT is down for a bit again! I just got the truck broken in and started on my fourth tank of gas a few weeks ago. That's when the steering knuckle broke. I put in the aluminum knuckles and now the steering servo dies. Maybe I'm not supposed to get to the fifth tank :) Or maybe I should just stop steering the thing! :blink:
 
Seems like it comes in streaks.:(
If you stay with the stocker steering servo I would make sure you buy an extra incase you tear the plastic gears out.
 
The stock servo I have is metal geared - SX-400MG. I can't find any info on it anywhere. If they send me the same servo then I will get a better servo as a backup so I am not down for a couple weeks if it happens again.
 
I'm sure you cant find it due to it being a private labeled, or foreign servo.:(
I forgot the MT came with a different servo then the buggy.

Yeah, there isn't a thing on it out there. Not even replacement gears. Get a spare, you'll be glad you did.
