Hi every body!

Yes... Its another steering servo qustion!

I was just setting up my new savox servo for the brake/throttle and that was ment to be the last upgrade to get the beast running... Then out of nowhere my steering servo started a grinding sound then it was just not turing the wheels...so i open it up and discovered that the plastic gears are broken, 3 of them..:w00t:

Now what do i do? Do i just replace the broken gears (if i can find them) or just get new servo?

I was thinking to replace them with a savox SV0235MG as i can buy them from my local shop but not sure if they will work as they run on 7.4 V?

Thanks for your help!:)

If you locate a Savox dealer, or get onto the Savox site and see if you can locate the gears, then it is a cheaper option - always take care not to lose any of the small rubber O-rings often used to seal these things, and to re-align the rubber seal properly - this will help you if you do a lot of 'mud plugging'!
If you cannot find the gears - and I haven't had to look for Savox gears so I can't help you there (never had that problem but have 4 Savox servos on several of my RC's!) - then obviously you'll have to get another.

Which servo were you using on the steering and how did you stuff the gears anyway?
Is your servo saver working properly?

I was using the futaba s3306 for steering, sorry i meant the gears in the futaba were broken not the savox..

Now am not sure if the savox SV0235MG will even fit as they are bigger then the futaba that were fitted..

Yes i think i rather buy a new metal servo then stick to the plastic, i did send an email to servoshop to see if they sell spare parts. If they cheap, il just usethem till i save up a bit money to get a metal servo...

Wow the tonegawa servos are £400? Thats scary! I rather run after the car nd turn the wheels my self then spend 400 on a servo :) I couldnt find used on ebay...

You can buy them for £50-80 'good used', but buyer beware.
I had one, but wasn't what I wanted - I'd bought a vented one (on-road) and I really needed a sealed one (off-road) for my MT.
I'm using twin Rhinos, so not too bad!!

Do they have diffrent tonegawa models? Ad love to get a used if i can find them... Btw, they do look very big do they require any modification to the servo tray?
