well on my t1000 29cc truck none of my servos had gone out yet, but ii went ahead and replaced both steering and throttle/brake servos with hitec ones, a 5755 and a 7955 T. i had read alot of others had experienced the old servos, mainly the steering had gone out or just didnt have the power really needed to turn such a beast under any loads. the 5755 does a great job of handling the steeering, but some modifications to mounting it are required. nothing severe, minor lil things, i used a PA metal mount and metall mount tabs on mine. and a different metal servo arm. took a lil trial and error fitting and working the system to get the close as i could to original servo sweep.
i had replaced my radio with a pks futaba, and used its servo sweep settings to adjust the amount each side on sweep, i will tell u right now never set it for 100% on either side, it will burn the servo up, had that happen on first servo till i figured out what happened. set it to like 75% each side which ended up being full sweep left and right on steering. if you don't have one already another needed addon is the KB in case of lost signal or dead rx or tx battery the truck engine will shut down
