when i first took my truck out of the box i couldnt even roll it scross the floor unless i compressed the suspension down. now i have around 6-7 tanks run thru it and i still have axel bind. i am running my spring adjusters pretty low and at slow speeds i can see the rear end go up and down as they bind. im running the diff cup rings and dark soul boots. should i file the dog bones down a little? and how high are you mt owners running your rear suspensions? i still have a good inch of travel i can get out of it if i tighten my springs, but it will bind like crazy if i do.

If it did it out of the box then why are you mentioning diff cup rings and DS boots? Did they make it worse? Did you think that would fix the prob? Your axles should be at or just below level. Some people run at level. I understand wanting to make it taller but with MT tires and axles at level it wont flip as easy and it still has good clearance with those tire. Im not + but I think they are still the tallest MT tire out there. If you can sky jack it, with or without binding, its still rough on parts and perfromance suffers.

it was binding just rolling it on the floor out of the box. i put the rings on before i ever ran it. but i noticed with the rings on i had to shorten a few of the pins on the dogbones to get them to slide in. i was told that after a few tanks the binding should go away as the axels wear in. and it did, with the springs at the lowest adjustment. i wanted to lift the suspension a little but it binds if i do. i was wondering if i should lift it and let it wear in even more? or do you think it will tear up parts? thats why i wanted to know where you guys are running your ride heights

Mine does the same thing since i put the cups on also. I am going to put straps on to pull the truck down and preload the suspension.

did you have to file down the bones to make them fit? i think that the problem with mine is i didnt file them enough.

I run the rings, and had to file down both sides of all the pins in my dogbones. I have cvds, so the the pins in the axle end just needed a smidge filed off. The pins at the diff needed a little more so they could move freely, but I've never had them bind up since then...and I run my axles WELL BELOW level...

Yes i had to file them down also. I thought i went far enough, they slide up in the cup no problem. But when the truck isnt pushed down a little, it binds like yours

Damn parker that thing looks like it has a lift kit on it.i still want a set of those shocks.

hey guys question is it normal to have some play left and right up and down on the rear axel if i take the wheel and move it up and down and side to side it moves i thought it was beacuse the bearing were loose on the aloy hub but i bought plastic rear hubs and still there's play do i have to put shims on the inside of the axel

parker that thing is way way higher than i run mine. if i did that it would bind horribly. im going to take the axels out and file them a little more. my truck is a v3 pro with cvds. the problem is on the diff side for sure i can see it if i roll it. it is good to see how high you run yours. i thought i was stuck with a lowrider mt. thanks for the pics

yup mine slide in, but bind at an angle.

I think I filed mine down to 18 or 19 mm in length...can't remember off hand. But they don't ding at all. I raised it up that high so it won't bottom the fram eout, even on hard landings. The setup I have keeps it about 1/2 inch off the ground when the shocks are bottomed out, so no frame damage...

Oh no! Not the cups... I filed the pins down to 18 or 19 mm... I didn't touch the cups, other than to put the sleeves on them :)

I filed mine down a much as you did ,but i cant run my suspension as high as that beast you have ,without locking up completely .Did you say you are running the rings too, sorry i didnt go back and look at your pics.
