Has this happened to anyone else? Would HPI cover this? I made my own spacer (Not bad for a Dremel and a file by hand) but not sure how long the disk will last without doing the same as the spacer?
The brake did not hang up or drag. The brake pads are fine.

Metal is cracked and the aluminum spacer just broke.

ya i had one crack apart but staying in one piece. i doubt it would be covered, but maybe (think it may be considered a wear item). but they are only 4.00 i think for a new one.

BTB,

Have you found any nicer break setup's to replace the stock setup minus going hydro?

best ive had so far is a pair of CF pads on the stock calipers. can lock up my MXs on Grass at WOT and drag to a stop in short order. but i did break my stock tranny plate at the rear of the rotor opening from the JR servo and the forces it produces.

Hey boss, what JR are you running? What's the torque specs on it?

Thanks Chief,
Trip..

I also am using the 91000T in my Baja and can lock the brakes up off road no problem . Might be the problem with the parts wear.

I looked around for some sheets of carbon fiber I could cut into brake pads but not had luck yet. That sounds like a better mod to help brake even better. Also heard you can install one additional pad in the center of the disc's too.:)

Riding the breaks is what annoys the drivers behind you.:clown:

lol ya a 3rd pad shouldnt be bad, but i think you can have TOO much braking.
not me, if you slow down infront of me, i ll just run your ass over. lol

find some cheap carbon pieces for an old rc on fleabay for cheap. a few good cheap parts, an dyou can cut a dozen or more pads.
