Stock Muffler Mod

I do not want to buy an aftermarket pipe right now. Just looking for a way to mod the stock muffler to get more performance out of it. I already took the stinger off and I have heard of drilling an extra hole in the muffler? Does anyone know how I would go about doing that or if there are any other mods that I could do?

I would just buy a good pipe it is money well spent I got a jetpro rear mount on my xb just the sound of it makes me smile it was 150 on fleabay

there are decent steel pipes for half that and its easier than trying to drill out that beer can(its ok just to see the effect)...but time better spent doing this...
