Hi Guys

I finally decided to do the right thing and buy a kill switch

Trouble is it doesn't seem to work with the stock radio

I have it plugged into the bind port

Is that right?

Thanks

yes it will.
Thanks mate

I try to buy as much as possible here in AUS to avoid having to wait weeks for it

Up here in Central Queensland the LHS's don't keep much 1/5 stuff even though they sell cars

If you have a burned out servo and a soldering iron, you can make one your self.
Good plan but all the rejects have gone in the bin.

I'll have it in 3 days from Brisbane so all is good.

I find it's easier to but off the net than do a 60 mile round trip to the LHS just to find they don't have what I want.

Hi again guys

This thing is really starting to PMO

According to the instructions this thing has 3 modes

1 LED on - motor run

2 LED off - motor off

3 LED flashing - no signal

I got my splitter and connected it to Ch2 and with the TX on the LED is on as it should be but when I turn the TX off the LED stays on even though the LED on the RX is flashing

If I connect it to the CH3/bind plug the LED flashes with the TX off (as it should) but as soon as I turn it on the LED goes off instead of on.

It's almost like the polarities are switched but there's no way you could do that.

I haven't connected it to the coil yet as I'm trying to make sure it works before I go pulling it apart,

Any help would be greatly appreciated

UPDATE

I connected it to the coil on an old CY that I've got laying around and it still does the same

Hi again

I talked to the guys that makes these switches and he tells me that Ch3 needs to be reversed and as you know the stock radio doesn't do that

He tells me they will work on Flysky and Futaba but I'm dubious about Flysky

I don't want to spend heaps on a radio and don't really need a computer one.

Does anyone think this would work?

http://www.powerslideracing.com.au/futaba-3prka-2.4g-3-channel-radio-system

or should I go with this

http://www.rcmodel.com.au/rx-gyro-servo/fs-gt3b-digital-3ch-2-4ghz-lcd-transmitter-receiver-3070.html

The main thing I don't like about the Flysky is having a rechargable battery

AA's are more convenient

I'm using a superbee kill switch with Futaba 3PMX and works great
Thanks builder

Did you have any polarity problems with Ch3?

Is it reversible?

I also use a super bee with the stock redcat radio. the receiver is as far as I've seen after 2 mt's and a dunerunner, 3 channel, so if you hook it up right you don't have a switch just to kill the motor but if you shut the radio off it kills the motor. the only sacrifice you have in this case is you can longer steer or use your brakes so hopefully your not headed downhill at warp 10.

Yep that's the theory behind it

Unfortunately mine works in reverse

Radio on - switch off

Radio off - switch on
