stock rear shock tower..

I have my "X" apart and I noticed the plastic comes apart from the thin aluminum inside. I was curious if anyone left the plastic off and just ran the aluminum as the shock tower? I know its thin but that plastic cover cant add that much structure to it..im just curious. I might buy another stock one and stack the aluminum since i cant seem to find a aftermarket one or a thicker one for that..

There's an aftermarket shock towers from Redcat unsure of the number tho

Ive only seen the front. Never seen a rear aftermarket.

They are both available. Here is one on my XB. The shock brace is made from the original shock tower. You can see how much thicker the full aluminum towers are.
