I was putting my m/t back together yesterday and for some reason my kill switch out of nowhere started beeping and killed spark to motor. I was installing linkage to the carb and had t/x and r/x turned on. it had been on for a few minutes and acting normally. green light and all but for some reason just went red and started to beep. first thing I thought was low batteries but new ones in t/x and fully charged one in r/x made no difference. a new plug made no change so I tried unplugging servos one at a time in case one was bad. nothing! I went as far as switching the killer bee out from my d/r and still the same. the strange thing is when I first turn on the r/x the bee beeps normally than light turns green but after 10 or 15 seconds goes red and starts to beep. also even though it's got the spark killed t/b and steering servos move just like normal so it's not like the t/x and r/x have lost contact. like I said the odd part was I was just installing linkage when it started happening not trying to start it or running it. any ideas.

Do you have the super bee? did any of your dip switches move? Never mind you said you switch the killer bee out and still the same problem HMMMMMM

yea it's the super bee and no I don't think any switches changed. if fact like I said I even took the kill switch out of my d/r just in case the switch itself was bad and it does exactly the same thing.

HMMM I have one broke down now that I have been working on all day and I am trying the super bee to see if I can help you with something.

I haven't tried a different r/x but I have a spare stock redcat t/x and r/x that I was thinking about trying. thing is really doesn't seem to be anything wrong there but worth trying.

wouldn't be big deal to change out everything from d/r since I've got it apart anyway.

I threw the failsafe in the trash the day I got it. it's useless really since the stock r/x's have a built in one. i'm using a 3 channel spectrum radio on this truck at the moment.

well that problem solved. not figured out but solved. I changed out the r/x and t/x for the stock redcat ones and problem went away. weird thing is I've been using the spectrum radio for quite some time with no issues then for no reason I can think of this starts. checked all the wiring and everything fine even tried hooking it back up after getting it to work with the new setup thinking maybe I had a bad connection and still had killer bee problem. strange everything thing works just as before except the bee. oh well I've got new problems now. got the motor running but clutch is engaged all the time. don't know what I did there but it's out with the motor again. had enough for today i'll get to it later.

You don't have a GoPro Hero3 with the WiFi enabled on the rig do you. That will cause glitching once you get 50 - 60 feet away. Lots of digital transmission reasons I can name, bottom line a WiFi on top of the buggy or close to the TX will interfere with the TX - RX binding, key bits get dropped. So check the smartphone also.

My job is digital communications. Depending on how many lost packets, and each system has it's own limits, is when the system will "glitch" or "failsafe". One of the reasons the 802.11 standards has 5 GHz now. Too many systems on too few channels with just 2.4 GHz. Ended up either losing the data, or taking forever to download an e-mail on your WiFi network. And any equipment using 2.4GHz has to meet the 802.11 standards. Better then the FM equipment, but, yes, you can have other, unrelated equipment slow down the data transmission speed.
