Hi folks,

Total newbie here.......

I'm looking for some serious suggestions as to what to use as a chassis for my next project, a gas powered 1/5 or 1/4 scale RC street rod.

I'm thinking a chassis from one of the many suppliers and my body.

I'm OK with building anything from a baja 5b ss to modding an existing RTR as I've done a bit of modeling in the years past. I'm just looking for recommendations on a SOLID chassis / kit to start with.

why don't you try a custom frame out of 10mm tube or box steel? whould be a lot stronger bud

My bud just bought a rat rod body and I have to say it is the worst vac formed piece of crap I have ever seen. defects all over the body and the windows he has to cut out as they are all wrinkled and wavy.

and that was the replacement to the even worse first one he got!@!!
