i was cleaning my baja 5t today, taking everything apart and cleaning.i removed the spur gear cover and went to remove the spur gear but the screw is stripped..how do i get this off?it is brand new and i never tried to take it off before..

best thing I can think of is small drill bit and drill it out without messing up the threads......goodluck. Maybe just dill it out and buy new bell and pinion

this is the screw..the second pic i was trying to get the roll cage off and the screw is like stuck..its not stripped..even my 18v drill cant turn it..[/QUOwont load for some reason..the stripped screw is the spur gear one in the center, the second one is the screw that holds the right brace and cage mount..i think it attaches to the clutch carrier?its not stripped just stuck

Use some heat then try

you can use a torx head driver. the size that is closest to the allen. you have to hammer it in. works most of the time. of course, you may not be able to do this if your running the plastic tranny housing.
