Hey all. I had upgraded the stock servos to a single servo. I put a Hitec HS-5805MG in and it works pretty well. (I have the Futaba metal servo mount.) Not too unhappy especially since I don't need 2 servos. But, turning lock to lock while not moving doesn't seem to be possible. I want a servo that can nearly break your finger but I don't want to break the bank either. I have a HiTec HS-645MG on the T/B and its pretty good, fast, strong. Running 6 volts on a Castle BEC Pro. Like I said, it works but just curious what else is out there thats better, maybe for a future purchase. I want to keep single setup if possible.
Also, the play between the 2 steering servo savers- can this play be taken away? I have the somewhat plastic version (metal savers, plastic link.) Can I upgrade to the all metal single servo steering setup and take that play away? If no, is there some way to get the play out?

Thanks again all!

Thanks
I've been looking for something to fit the Futaba mount

Ok so after Google searching I have found out there's like a 14 volt $450 servo out there that is incredible. Too much $, but def cool. Spektrum has a servo set and I'm after the steering servo. Its S9020 and its about $200 +/- Has about 1000oz-in of torque at 8.4volts- 3X more power than my HiTec on there now (the HiTec is about 350 oz-in.) So, looks like I know what I'm eventually getting. Anyone else use one of these? Opinions?

That servo looks pretty sweet. May have to try. I have 2 Hitec hs5765 that are very hard to get adjusted. I will get them good then run it for 10 minutes and have to adjust again, it is constant. But when working correctly they will turn the wheels on the ground no problem. I am going 1 servo now, probably the Savox 0236. Heck for the price I spent on these servos I could have had the Spektrum and it is waterproof. The Savox waterproof model of the 0236 has poor reviews. Steve at ddm said they don't even stock them with such a high failure rate. So I will do the waterproofing to the 0236 myself. Good luck, and let me know how the Spektrum holds up.
