Ive been browsing and looking for a stuffed (non stroked) crank and I came across one on Daves site but it says marine engines. Then I saw one on Oneill site and it looks the same but it says its for basically for cars and truck. I'd just like to know what the difference between the 2 is. Thanks

BTW, they were both made by Sikk.

The crank used for marine has longer shaft for a water pump to be used...
The one's for cars & trucks are normal shaft length...The stuffed crank is used to reduce lower case volume......Slawhammer

Avoid the stuffed crank, I bought one from O'Neill's about 2 months ago, the stuffing is letting go! I read about them doing it, but I can tell you it happened to me. No performance differences I can tell you between stuffed and not stuffed. How I noticed is the engine began to shake violently.

Wow Clubin, I've also heard of it but I think your the 1st one I know that had it happen personally in the last few years. Guess its not an old issue anymore. You have any photos? Sorry to hear about the misfortune. Are you going back with a non stuffed? If so would be interesting to hear what you about the difference.

I will try take some pictures, the edges where the plastic tapers off and joins to the steel crank were coming off. I will try get some pictures this weekend.

Clubin..whaooooooooo sorry to hear about the dilama...I had that problem years back with motorcycle engine..damaged the bottom end....I kew then was not the thing for me to be using...I have also read and seen some pictures of these small Rc Engines the same way
I Thought to my self ..when time for me to build a engine I want a solid crank...
I hope you kuck out and not much damage........Slawhammer.....

Thanks guys. You don't have to tell me twice. Regular crank it will be. Ive personally never had a problem with a stuffed stroked crank but theres always a first. And I'd hate to be the first.

I do know that stuffed cranks are not to be used in a high revving engine, anything over 17/18K I think because of this exact problem.
