I change my rear diff grease to a 30,000wt and now I only have front wheel drive. The back wheels act like they want to spin but just slip, front wheels pull only. The only thing I did was change the rear diff grease, front diff still has factory grease. Is is because I went to a heavier grease? Do I need to change the front diff too? Or is something not put back together right? The dog bone is turning at the rear diff but wheels are not pulling the truck.

If you spin one rear tire the other should spin the opposite way. Or I would hold one tire and try to spin the other it should spin the center drive shaft I believe. I would still change out the front oil anyhow as there might not be anything in there and the stock goop sucks

Found out my problem, both rear wheels had strip out on the inside where you mount them to the truck so they where just turning. I didn't want to buy new tires and rims yet so I can up with a easy and quick solution.

Might as well get as much run time out of those wheels before you throw 'em out.
