Hey guys, I need the think tank on this one.
I purchased and installed a Super Duty ESC/motor mount from Stupid RC and a HW MAX 5/800kv. Into a new XRT

All parts NIB

The stupid RC mount has a brace to support the back end of the motor.

But nothing to support the top??

To be honest the motor after install can be wiggled a bit…ouch. This can’t be good.

I reached out via email to them, crickets!

What’s going on over there at Stupid RC?

Anyone have this product? Thinking I need to at minimum create a brace for the top.
Or
Take the loss. Scrap it. Start over?? Vitavon, M2C maybe.

Hate to lose time and the 150$

If you search forums here for Stupid RC you'll find there are plenty of comments from people saying to avoid them, myself included. Granted my comments are more on the 5ive T side; but their stuff is garbage. I personally wouldn't waste time trying to make it work. They should take your return though.

I agree 100% on AVOIDING Stupid RC. I currently have a bank claim going on against them. Talk about FALSE advertising. In my case, I ordered what was supposed to be an all-metal (ie. steel & aluminum) stand for 1/5 scale RCs, with two 'upright' pieces specific to the X-MAXX. While the top plate, and the two upright pieces were, indeed, solid aluminum, the "tube" portion of the stand turned out to be a rolled piece of fairly-thin aluminum sheet. Inside each end of the "tube" was two pieces of 3D-printed plastic, with a total of 4 screws holding the "tube" to the plastic. Finally...the real 'kicker'...the base of the stand was comprised of two 1/8" sheets of acrylic, with the upper piece having been machined to create the "X-MAXX" letters, and then the two sheets were glued together. One thing is for certain...the name of the business IS accurate - Stupid RC truly IS "stupid".

UPDATE: In the 15 minutes since I typed my reply, I contacted the bank, to find out the status of the claim (which I filed a few days before Christmas). As of yesterday, the bank found against Stupid RC. They had already issued me a "provisional credit", which is not permanent. In te meantime, they will be doing a reverse-EFT, taking the money from Stupid RC.
