Well I am buying a redcat rampage for christmas but I have a few questions.


I don't know if I should purchase the 23CC RTR w/free side dom from DDM for 850 or should I buy a roller and choose w/free dom pipe and engine... Now I thought that the 310 dollars I save with a roller would allow me to purchase a better engine (for that price) but I don't know which engine to choose... Go with a bigger CY or zenoah 26cc... I've read about the rampage but I didn't read much about choosing an engine... Does the rampage have strong enough components to deal with a larger more powerful motor? What engine should I choose and what upgrades/mods should I do to the truck to handle that power? Thank you!

ya i wouldnt get that engine.. I have one in 1 of my t's and blows head gaskets.. blown it up 2 times in less than 2 gallons.. Not worth the extra bling it gives you rc..
 
Thanks for the info! Any suggestions for an engine that costs no more than 300 (maybe +20 dollars more).


It seems for a 26+ CC zenoah it would be out of my price range.

I'm not looking for max power. I'm looking for a good balance of reliability and power. After dealing with nitro for so many years... it would be nice to have something that is more reliable and less finicky. That doesn't mean I don't like to get dirty and do maintenance/tune... I just want a fairly headache free engine with good power.


Edit: I just noticed Moo posted before me. So oneillibros port it too. Nice. I have a question tho. I cant seem to see the prices for their products and I cant add them to the basket. Am I looking in the wrong place?


Edit2: NEver mind I see when you go to the more description page you lose the prices and add to basket link. hmm so its 279 bucks! Not bad! I think she will be the one! Much appreciated for the input guys!

Also if you buy an RTR with the 23cc, you can buy the $149 30.5cc ported headkit and put it on that motor.
