ok i moved my switch to kinda like a hpi its to the side nice location but the jr switch i bought has a charge port but what a piece of crap will only charge with switch on no good !! i paid like 23 bucks for this thru hobby clown yea i said hobby clown so now had to make another hole in my battery box for charge lead wtf jr!!!!

Haven't you inverted the connections from/to the switch? It's supposed to charge when off, not on ;)

The side with two wires is where the battery should be connected. The side with one wire goes to the receiver.
 
This one have the charge jack wired internally, so it can't go wrong, unless defective or miswired at factory, which is very unlikely.

If this is the case, I would request a swap at the shop where it was bought.
 
By "wires", I meant each lead. So, the one pictured have two leads, as yours.

The one with the bare connector goes to the receiver, and the one with an external jacket connects to the battery. The switch has three internal contacts. One central (common), one left and one right. The central contact is wired to the battery connector, the left contact is wired to the receiver connector, and the right contact to the charge jack. When switched to ON, it connects the central with the left (battery to receiver), when switched to OFF, it connects the central with the right (battery with charge jack).

As I said, there's no way that could go wrong, unless wired incorrectly at factory. But this, although possible, is something that I'm yet to see in 13 years of hobby :)

I never use the on off switch. I use an ext. Lead and and just unplug the batt. So if you want I can give you the stock xt switch free I don't need it

It's not a generalized behavior, your unit is certainly defective.

I thought if the plugs were swapped it would work. Like the wires on the port side are the input and the wires on the switch side are the output. If the switch is wired inline after the port that should work. Port side in from the battery and the switch side out to the receiver. Just think'n out loud.

By the picture, it's already that way, left wire is out to receiver, right wire is in from the battery. But, as one wire is "male" and another "female", they only could be swapped by resoldering.
