I have just knocked up a failsafe killswitch today from an old servo board and a 5v mini relay,,,,,,total cost----$1.65.

Works exactly like my pico did,(pico just died for some reason) which cost me $40.

I think I'll be making them from now on!

Ha ha,nice one.It works the same as well does it not? I done that 5 years ago. Can you put a pic up and a few specs,I've done the same here ,I'll look for the thread.

Great mate,there is a circuit diagram on here somewhere what I done,I'd like to compare what you and I have done to save £30.
 
Here is my so,so simple circuit.and this is just a battery fail,as you said its soooooo easy. £30 NAW!

Tons more can be added like yours and as Keith wants ....a big blue LED!.....;)

You can hard wire it to the coil or do what I did and whack on a plug so you can still remove stuff easily!

Cheapest insurance yet!

If you have a 3 channel, just plug it in,
If you have a 2 channel like me, use a Y harness on the throttle servo,,, works a treat!!
