I recently broke my front cvd so decided to go with dogbones my question is I am putting fuel line in drive cups and wondering should dogbones have very little play or should they be snug? its for the front

gotta be some play to allow for suspension travel

still fairly new to the mt's but I do know we shim them a small 1/8" on the bajas

anyone know of heavy duty dogbones for mt ? I bought two regular dogbones for front ran twice and now they are bent if there is heavy duty dogbones do I have change out axles too?

Can you post pics of this when your done? I tried putting a rear axle and dog bone in the front in replacement of the CVD on my dads XT, but the rear axle cup area is longer and therefore hit the hub carrier so turning was almost impossible.

Just want to see the difference between the MT and the XT's hub setups

good luck with that question,I doubt you'll get many replys,I tried askin that one already

from what I was told there's only one other type of dog bone for them and that's the MCD bones,as far as being any better or heavy duty I didn't really find out much about them or if they're even any/much better than the stock redcat bones

maybe you'll have better luck than I

do you know what size mcd dogbones are? or part numbers

do you think I would be better off buying those dogbones or going back to cvd and sleeve the axle end and use jb weld to keep in place ? those dogbones are 145mm so do you think will work fine on front? my brand new stock dogbones on 2nd run twisted and bent

ok got looking at front stock dogbones I got only 2 runs with they are twisted could that mean steering is to tight? dogbones are to tight with fuel line in cups ? or the trucks torq did it? want figure out before I get the mcd dogbones I bought the 5 brand new ones for 55$ and he is throwing in four used ones too GREAT DEAL!!!

The stock axles will work, they're a direct fit. They actually fit a little better than the stock dogbones and they're thicker. They could be twisted for a few reasons, like landing from a jump with the throttle pegged or running on high traction surfaces at full throttle.

wasn't a jump was doing a lot running in grass and loose stone.
