Im using Redline Racing 2 stroke synthetic race oil. Two years of abuse in a mod marine engine and running strong with no signs of wear...soon to be used in my baja 5T project. I mix at 25:1 in the boat. Will be mixing at 32:1 for the baja.

Im going to try 32:1 should be good ratio since most say not real difference between that and 25:1. Got the oneil race modded 27.2 stuffed 2mm stroked in can't wait to fire it up and awaken the beast

Be aware that these engines run at up to 21000rpm so you should use the best racing quality oil that you can.
I personally use :-
"Castrol A747 which is a very high performance, low ash, part synthetic lubricant with castor oil, specially formulated for use in multi-cylinder, water-cooled two stroke engines".
or
"Castrol XR77 which is the ultimate pre-mix racing 2-stroke engine oil, designed to work with all the latest engines and fuels, including unleaded".

When I first started racing I used Venom but found that this created heavy carbon deposits. Since using 747 I have never found any carbon and the inside of the engine is like new.
Because 747 is so good I find I can use at 40-1 without any problems. In fact I have just done a full season of racing without even needing a ring change and I don't intend changing it yet.
At 40-1 you have a very slightly higher fuel content so more power
and less unburnt oil and smoke out of the exhaust.
