i have the t1000 2 speed..i want to chang the stock gear plate and clutch carrier, clutch bell etc..what fits on the 2 speed?would i buy the same as a single speed?i saw that turtle had a racing edition with gear plate, carrier, and clutch bell..would it fit?i know because of the second gear i would have to buy a second pinion gear ,the kit only comes with one..but before i waste money, will it fit?or any ideas.i want to change the stock parts..

no your limited to what you can get for the 2speed, the back plate will need to be drilled so you can mount the gear cover bracket but it might also need a spacer the 2 speed spacer is a bit thicker then the single speed one, clutchbell would be different also needs to be longer then a single speed so the gears can mount on,

so you don't have a 2 speed now i take since you said you would have to buy additional gears? the TR kit is a upgrade kit for the single setup not the 2 speed you would need alot more then whats included in that kit

no, i think he is wanting to upgrade to better stuff regarding some components of 2 speed and still use the 2 speed. i already told him what i did upgrade on mine is bout all you can really, the 3 point clutch carrier CAN be upgraded to a metal one with a larger TFE bearing, mine is, and the lower carrier bearing for layshaft can be swapped for a metal one, mine is, and the top brake assembly can be swapped for a TR one piece brake unit, one leg of tr unit where its shoulder fits onto the topplate will have to be drilled out a lil larger to fit the shouldered post on TR assembly, its easy to do, mine has one i installed, these are bout the only things you can upgrade and still use the 2 speed that comes on it.

now there are a couple other manufacturers out there making a 2 speed setup, but the basics are the same on them.
