i was told the Taylor 35 wint fit the FG chassis due to meshing issues with the gears? Also a 35 in a marder would be way overkill! it will just want to spin out all the time and unless you beef up the drive train the stock drive train including dogbones will get mashed in no time. I found the best match for an FG is the zenoah G290 4bolt with a decent tuned pipe (Samba/Genuine FG pipe). I tried a few diff pipes/engine combos with my FG's over the years, best for me by far was the Samba & genuine FG pipe with the zen g290 stock. Great all round performance boost & was more than enough power. Remember, FG's are 1/6 scale and are very light compared to the 1/5s and marders are 2WD! so don't need no where near the power of a 1/5th 4WD.
Heres a vid my stock FG pretty much with a samba/G290 using madmax giant grips rims/tires just after i built it, still needed slight tuning at the time! but as you can see, was more than enough power
