Hi there,

a few questions for you, before i destroy my mt by driving it without upgrading some things....

1. i have an ONB 30.5 NOT ported or things like that, does it pull the rampage good enough (with a ddm-dom)?

2. you always talk about tempering the shafts, what do you mean?

perhaps that? --> http://www.cs-shop.de/lshop,showdetail,9362,d,1260299135-9530,produkte.modellauto.cs-electronic_t-rexx.tuningteil,C102620,2,Tshowrub--produkte.modellauto.cs-electronic_t-rexx.tuningteil,.htm

3. should order the fs-dogbones before i break in the engine?

4. what about the diffs, are they durable, strong enough? if not, do you know stronger ones, or things to do on them?

and finally....

5. what about that part #050002N, does anybody know where i can get that from or doesn´t it exist at all?

i´m not responsible for mistakes, i´m bavarian :D

by the way, thank you guys for answering to my questions, just by reading here for hours you helped me a lot, hopefully i can help anyone of you someday to.

thank you :)

1. my friend has an MT with a stacked gasket 30.5, it pulls pretty good.

2 .those are dogbone pin keepers, this http://www.vancouverhobbies.com/50dijocu3.html is the part we temper. heat the shiny part to just past blue, and then push the blue into the black part.

3. if you have a v2, while the cups are cooling, pull the set screws out of your dogbones, notch the pins so the set screws have a flat spot to grab, and re-install with locktite. if you have more trouble with the pins, the FS might be an upgrade for later.

4. if you temper, these diffs will stand against 99% of any abuse you can give them.

5. pn 050002 is lower alum rear arm, don't know what the n stands for. can be found at most online stores.

the N on the serial nr of the lower arms stands for dual shocks, its listed in my instruction manual as an upgradable option part, but no one sells them.

and i was asking if the differential in the gearbox (the gears and the pins) is durable and/or strong enough, not the diff-cup, i hope i won´t break anything, but i think thats a dream that won´t come true :p

the weakness of the diffs was the pins, so they hardened them. that helped, but wasn't enough. they increased pin size to 3.5mm and we stopped breaking pins, but started snapping shafts. now that we temper the shafts, the weak spot seems to be dogbone pins, but they are cheap and easy to fix and have a spare on hand.

there is supposedly a container with new HSP upgrades coming. http://www.redcatrampageforum.com/showthread.php?t=2437
