this is my RC18T clone, which I've just upgraded to a faster brushless motor, and higher current battery

I've been using my brushless RC18t copy for a while now, running a Hobby King 3450kv helicopter outrunning, 2200mah 20c 3s lipo, and 35amp esc.

Its just not fast enough Maxing out at about 33kph (I'm sure the GPS weight didn't help much!)

I really don't have much faith in the esc lasting very long though, however, apparently, they are very under rated and can handle heaps!

the ball diffs aren't working too well, I might fill them with bluetac or something and make a video over the weekend, but the rear diff isn't giving any drive to the wheels anymore, and the front tyres have a bald strip down the middle?

Yup, certainly LOOKS fast - probably helped by the camera angle and the gear whining.
Looks nearly as fast as my 1/16 Revo VXL - that thing's just ridiculous!!
Should get back to the replacement front arms - badly bent (hopped up just like I said I wasn't going to do ... !!! ) the front arms when I went airborne into a set of goalposts that had moved overnight outside the house and I hadn't noticed !!! TRUE !!! :w00t::lol::lol::w00t:

I was on 2x 2S LiPo parallel power, not 2x NiMH in series, possibly fortunately - that's even faster ..... !!

When I don't have time to clean up and prepare the 1/8 Raminator or the 1/6 FG MT, I blast the E-Revo 1/16 for a bit. Good fun.
It will probably end up being my lad's - in a couple of years as he's not 4 until this September - not even Lewis was in charge of RC vehicles until he was 8 !!! :lol::lol:

its too uncontrollable.

edit: I stuffed a 26t pinion in it in place of the 19t, it lowered motor temps, and made it a bit more controllable, except it gets BAD sped wobbles, then falls over

its now geared for 110kph/68mph...
