.......anyone got a flight booked :scared::badair::badair:
I wouldnt like to have been on the last 1.......after almost crashing it takes off again :badair: The arse end view of the 747 mid way through shows the strength of engineering with the wings flexing like fook. Amazing how they cope with the conditions. They should build a Boeing 5th scale....it would be indestructable :D:D

Now thats flying for you.
A few years ago when coming into Manchester from Hong Kong the plane was about 100 feet off the runway the pilot suddenly put his foot down(hand back, whatever) and the plane went a near vertical accent.People was asking what was going on and I noticed even the cabin crew looked worried.
When we eventually touched down and was taxing down the runway the pilot said " I'm sorry about the rapid accent ladies and gentlemen,Manchester air traffic control tried to land us on top of another aeroplane"
GULP!

Normally the most critical part is just before landing, at lowest speed, where strong gusts can affect you most.
Pilots are taught to literally 'drop' the aircraft if there's a strong side wind.
Nearly got caught on that one with a Singapore 747 landing in Perth, OzLand years ago - perhaps 20% of the oxygen masks had dropped, so it must have been quite violent !!
