we are not immune to the heat here either in pilot rock ,oregon. supposed to be 101 today, 30% chance of thunder storms. doubtful it will rain, just hot winds from the southwest. dry lightning. I set the a/c about high noon to 73, then head to the basement. even with the regesters closed down there, the cool coming off the duct work makes it about 60-65 degrees. Its 6:20 am now- gotta get things done out back before the sun cooks.

High 90's past 12 days 85-95 % humidity in Pa. I work outside am really getting tired of this, I work on my MT in the basement so I also have been there alot

Our dogs stay in the basement in this heat, its cooler down there, and they like snoozing on the cold cement floor.Thier so content that when anyone goes downstairs, they don't even raise thier heads.

Wish I had a basement. Most homes here don't. The fact that the ground doesn't freeze makes them not necessary. Footings only go down 3-4 feet. The fact that the ground is so rocky makes them too expensive.

Dear God. You must break a sweat as soon as you walk outside. I feel for you, dude.

I live in upstate ny and with that heat and humidity you break a sweat getting out of the shower. I lived in a house with a dirt basement for a while and when it was hot that would be ths place to go.

Up where I am in Maine it's 70-75 with 70% humidity ATM it's not too bad right now. Usually if it gets 80's or 90's, I head for my basement as well. It's been pretty good. There has been periods this summer where opening a door in my house was a two hand sweating profusely big deal. :D When it gets that hot my r/c's in my basement need "adjustments". :D

I still say its because of the sun. The solar is a nuke inferno. www.solarham.net This will allow you to see a few things. Man made warming? To a very tiny extent in the cities, yes. The heat from the pavement-buildings- But on a global scale - its a total farce. -B.S. Here is another site- www.iceagenow.com
