After much deliberation on whether or not to buy used.. I couldn't pass up a Firehammer deal I found on RCU. $600 shipped! Truck is practically perfect and only has a couple tanks through it. What do you guys think?

PS.. I haven't installed the front bumper yet.

I understand I need to run a 40:1 mixture. What oil are you guys using?

JJ

Keep at 25-30:1 and use a high grade 2 stroke oil. I use Amsoil Sabre Pro at 25:1 but there are many oils that will allow your motor to run for years.
Nice looking ride in black.:cool2:

cool. Is Valvoline 2 stroke ok? How do I determine how much to add for 25:1?

4 oz per gallon of fuel is 33:1 , 5oz is 25:1

I run coleman fuel its rated 55 octang burns cooler means your heads/piston cooler @ 33:1 in my boats and vehicles never had a problem:)

Sweet thanks. It looks like I have the wrong pipe to.. My buddy has a FHMT and runs the DDM fd140, however, Dave sold me the fd130. grrr.

Yeah, get the fd140. I have the fd130 and wish I had the fd140. Give DDM a call, they are good guys to deal with.

At least you can still run it with the stock muffler for awhile!

Yea... are there performance differences between the two pipes?

Also, the guy I bought it from said the truck should be run 40:1 for better performance. Should I still stick with 25:1?

I have the high speed pipe, I would rather have more torque for a truck. I don't hate it, I just want more low-end. I have a 17t pinion on the truck too which has helped a little bit.

I would stick with around 25-32:1. Less oil means you'll be rebuilding your engine sooner.

I talked to Dave at DDM he said:

"The fd130 is far and away the most popular pipe. Better fit, and more compact. I am sure you would be happy with either though."

So I guess I will keep it.

The 130 is more compact and will help in keeping the end from bending in on a crash. I recommend with the DDM's to install a wheelie bar of any type or create some type of bumper to not allow the truck to hit the pipe in a rear end landing. With my stock FGMT G260 I had and still have a horrible time keeping the wheels from spinning out with the torque from the pipe. I finally switched the rears backward and can now get enough bit to wheelie from start to finish with it.

You will love it!:cool2:

I didn't realize they were more compact, glad I have it now!

I've got to go to walmart and find out the size of the trucks on their cheapy skateboards. I think that would work great as a wheelie bar.

Order this part when you have a chance!!!
