what is the best air filter for a redcat rampage mt the will fit without having to do any mods to the car

how do you use that filter TGN DT1 Triple Flow filter on a xb? Does it come with a mounting plate that bolts on to the carb.

I run a TGN air filter with a TGN sock over the air filter, I had to buy a veloticy stack to make the air filter work, its available with the TGN (team gonads) airfilters...

yes u buy a veloticy stack with the airfilter, and u can also buy a filter bag for the dt1 if u wanna go extreme on the protection :)

when you put it the new air filter on did you notice a difference in performance. and another thing this might be a stupid question but what is the stack for

a lot better airflow, the old stock filter really didn't cut it, so yeah preformance differece is noticable.

the stack is so u can mount the new airfilter, the hpi filter also need a stack it's just made of plastic.

Stacks claim to give you more low end, I’m not that experienced since this was my first RC, not sure on low end, but it darn well seemed to just 'run better' overall. Response was better.

Most aftermarket filters are designed to use a stack. It provides the flat surface for the hose clamp collar to attach. You can use a variety of aftermarket air filters with a stack.

I got the triple flow because for my driving conditions it doesn't require a pre-filter, and it has the angled filter element which gives you some working room. You can go HPI stock filter, but you either have to relocate the throttle linkage (which is easy enough) or spend more money on the angled couple so it points up at an angle. If you have money, the blur quick disconnect for the stock HPI setup is pretty sexy. I’ve noticed some times when I wish I could very quickly pop off my air filter.
