I would like to share what I think is the best service ive ever received in rc.

Yeasterday before COB I ordered through CFR (chequered flag racing) some parts for my FG MB. The parts arrived today less than 24 hours since placing the order!

CFR is over 7,000kms from where I work which is where I got it delievered! Im amazed and very happy. Plus I got a little pressie from them for using them. Now thats service! :)

Hat's off to them certainly.
I had a 'couple of mishaps' over the weekend :clown::no::clown:
I got extra parts ordered from Hobbythek, adding to a couple I fancied on Saturday.
Wolfgang called me up first thing Monday morning - bear in mind it's a 'local international call' and went over all items requested, what is relevant, what isn't and what can be changed, and sorted all, no problem.
Great service.

In the last 2-3 months' I've been using them for, this is 'typical' for them, which is exceptional and excellent.

Thanks.
Alan.

I did opt for express post, in my case it was a $3.50 premium.

I don't carry allot of spares, usually just buy them as I need them but one thing that frustrates me more than anything is down time with the FG. So in my opinion it was a $3.50 well spent!

I get my FG out at least 5 times a week LOL

RC-Hobbytek are fast with their order turn around. placed an order on a sunday night 4am..insomnia..arrived at my door tuesday morning by dhl in ireland and it was large parts which came..they are fast and great to work with when ordering either from their on line shop or when they ring you..think they stopped ringing me in the morning as i am deep in zzzzz !!! dhl are good too the delivery guy gets a good work out bringing the bits from truck to door....:devil2:

odering from Hobbythek

I see we are from everywhere around the globe.one thing we often forget when we order from overseas is the additional cost of post and vat.
to the lads in the uk,at the moment My heart bleeds for you guys as the price of FG from suppliers like Models sports uk are being asked to pay between 750-900 + sterling for most of the 1/6 Trucks and buggys. For once the Euro is working in my favour. My mate who bought his "baja" from a retailer here in Dublin was quoted 900+euro because the supplier was buying his supplies from the uk agent who was charging him the UK price and charging same in euro.he said to my mate he would give him a discount and charge him only 800 euro, unfortunatly for the irish retailer he got lock jaw when he was informed that this guys mate (me) had got a FG MT for 700 euro rtr.
Hobby tek have a great deal on at the moment..go to their special deals page you can buy the FG 4x4 MT rtr for 806 euro +postage I got one it cost 845 euro it cost less to buy and send than the original 2wd HT version i bought in 2008 with extras and post.
Do your home work and you find great deals to feed your "addiction ".:devil:

Buying parts

The cost of sending a FG MT from Germany to Ireland is about 45 euro and hobbythek use DHL. UK haven't a bog ,however should be the same or less.Rest of world I don't know...to " S " in Australia good luck...buy your truck local and small parts you cant get at home get from far east or USA and bit your lip on the vat. Its well worth it in the end.when i was into 1/10 scale had a T-Max/sports max. bought T-max at Ireland price of 650 Irish pound pre euro change over 2001. bought Sports max from uk (i know its 2wd) for 390 Irish.
now the best bit, bought a complete set of blue aluminium upgraded parts upper/lower swing arms front/rear.skid plates f/r,chassis supports, etc,etc basically change the whole truck from plastic to metal for 250 sterling in 2001 and i paid import tax/vat on everything...the best way to get Your? Our trucks is to set up a local/international purchase and distribution network..it can only work providing good will and payments are made to each other and not screwing each other on the price.I am happy within reason to help my fellow hobbist buy parts from our "home " countries so we can stop being screwed by retails making profits way above what the actual product is worth in other countries. I used to buy from my local hobby shop until i relised how much of a mark up he was making from me, (my mate i often mention in my post here)was in the same shop when i was there and i was shocked at his bargining for parts he was doing...yes i was nieve and dumb, not any more.:clown::blush::helpsmilie::2guns:

Hobbythek, to those of us who're not born with FG in their blood, also give superb customer support.
Just getting out of the shower, before diving to work, the 'phone was ringing - it was Wolfgang wanting to clarify my order and just what I was wanting to do - GREAT SERVICE!! :):cool2::)

The employment status of the couriers of one of the UK's biggest sameday courier services, City Sprint, was challenged by the GMB trade union in December 2007. The challenge arose from the firm deciding to terminate the contract of one of its self-employed couriers after a series of misdemeanors. At the time the GMB sought to establish that City Sprint's self-employed couriers, currently classified as self-employed sub-contractors should be re-classified as employees. Threats from the GMB went no further and no other correspondence was received by City Sprint.
