Who's going to win it?

Lewis?
JB?

TBH I reckon it's either a Red Bull - Mark or Finger - Alonso or Kimi.

It's got several high speed sweeping corners which REALLY knacker the Merc's tyres so you can probably count Lewis out.
Macca's are naff so won't get above 4th tops, even with the partisan following.

Rain forecast for Friday and Saturday, and 'Cloudy' for the race day.

And, just when it couldn't get any more exciting ..... yawn!! ..... Webber's leaving!!

I DO envy him his new ride 'though!!
The new Porsche endurance team - that's one hell of a ride!!

Next year's Le Mans is going to be something pretty special I reckon, like it was with Audi and Peugeot 2 years ago.

Guess I'll Add Pirelli ...

To the I'LL NEVER BUY THEM AGAIN list!!

I have:
Uniroyal - tyres blistered.
Continental - R Kid had TWO blowouts on the Motorway.

Now got to add Pirelli.
Let's face it, if that's the standard of their BEST tyres, what the feck do they use for Joe Public? !!!!!!

The poor quality Perelli tires did make for an interesting race but you do wonder about the ones available to the public if their race / premium tires are rubbish.

After brief discussion at work, we reckon we've got it figured out:
1. Remove the kerbing altogether from the circuits - what's it there for anyway other than defining the circuit boundaries?
2. In this electronic age, any vehicle deliberately exceeding the circuit boundaries will have their KERS or DRS, or both deactivated for 2 laps!

There is a problem when its accident avoidance, but that's normally at the start of a race - before DRS is activated, or after a Safety Car.

Sorted!

i'm not in favour of more rules..

when pirelli came into this they were instructed to make tires that fell off a cliff (well done Berni...not)...and didn't last too long to make the racing more exciting, last season it was way too extreme so they changed them and now they fall apart... seems they compromised the carcass somehow and now they are changing them again

the whole idea of the newer bumpy curbs is to stop people cutting corners..if you therefore hit one too hard and you split your tire then tough poop...however i'm waiting to see if it is the curb or tires that are causing the problems

and of course poor old Lewis is the first to go, whilst leading comfortably (brilliant recovery drive)..ifit weren't for bad luck he'd have no luck at all it seems

Glad to see The Finger finally get some bad luck!
Even Alonso has commented on Vettel's luck in the past!!

Carcass, certainly.
I do think there are enough electronic aids and triggers to do something there.

How is it that F1 is 'the pinnacle' of motorsport, yet they keep on decreasing engine power - way less than Indy now - and certainly the higher power rated NASCAR circuit cars, but with this lower power, they manage to burst the tyres, which the other, much heavier cars don't.

I'm fed up of the cliff face tyres as well.
Bring back Michelin, or permit Pirelli to make proper race tyres - high grip, resilient, and start going off.

Let's see what comes out in the wash, as they say!
