over here in usa, we are using fuel laced with ethanol for political reasons. i have read many opinions about "shelf life" of this fuel, as relates to the addition of ethanol. seems there is anopinion that ethanol shortens the shelf life. most are in agreement it should be used within 30 days of purchase. however, when does the use within clock actually start? immediately after refining and put in storage tanks? how long is it in these tanks before it goes to the local pump? is there any difference between brands quality? i have also heard that it is all the same, with different brands adding their own additives. does the addition of 2 cycle oil change the shelf lifespan? bottom line for me is don't buy too much so you have a quantity sitting around for an extended period of time.
One of these with a spout on would be idea.

The"FUEL" you mention above is oil+gasoline OR just the gasoline only?i find when the fuel is more than a month old it starts to get "stale". i find the motor will be harder to start and be a bit finickey to tune once the fuel is past a month old. i try to buy just what i need for the day when i head out.
