well 2 companies are currently in the works for 2 bullet proof 2 speed tranny set ups.. whens our time to shine?
 
thats what i was looking at, i was checking out there "machined and ported reed heads" and they don't make one for CY engines.. everyone else except CY.. anyone know why this is.?

If your wanting that much power go to a Zenoah anyways , the quality is better and might stand a chance of staying together.


In my experience CY are ok until you break 16K RPM after that the reliability goes downhill.
 
i hace raced a 28.5cc motor all season and done well but you cant out rev a hobbycentre 26cc with a tuned pipe.


the bigger engines are nice for grunt but to keep up with the competition you need max torque max revs


keep your eyes and ears open as we may have some news soon;)
 
i went through every page on here one night and came across another "2 speed" forum, where someone hinted at ( i believe there exact words were ) "we will have some news soon." or something close. Can that member please chime in.
 
We won't see a 2 speed. Look how long it took for the Baja and it's still "in the works". I've been hearing that for the past year and a half since it was announced.
 
for some reason it just doesn't seem that difficult to make for us, i mean we already have gears stacked upon gears like frikkin jenga, someone cant fabricate another, lets say, clutch like assembly which engages the bell at a certain gears rpm. i know im speaking out of my ass, but it would be pretty crazy to have a nice ported motor with a 2 spd geared for balls to the wall, no bog, just pure power throwing roost at my wifes face as she bitches about how immature i am..
