RACE RESULTS 1/5 SCALE OFF ROAD 1-3-09
What started out as a cloudy day turned out to be a beautiful day for racing. Little cloudy from time to time helped the track surface to hold up really well and made for some great racing.
Two new proud owners joined the ever growing group of 1/5 scale racers.
Gary Duncan with his HPI 5T and Thomas (Smitty) Smith and his buddy Jessie Rodriguez shared the driving of a new HPI 5T.
These cars and trucks are awesome and very entertaining to watch. Just imagine how much fun they are to drive.
The most exciting part of the day is the “landrush” start. Down the main straight away into the first turn sounds like a big swarm of bumble bees.
Eryn Houston in the 5T Class had a great day sweeping the qualifiers and the main event. Smitty led the 5B Class until the last lap when he tangled with the corner fire hose and Brian Sherman got around him for the win by 1.28 seconds!
