This is the ultimate failsafe for all two stroke petrol engined cars. New and easy to install.
Suitable for all two stroke petrol engine models ie Zenoah, CY, FG, HPI Baja etc
If you have any sense of safety or value for money you will probably already have an electronic failsafe installed in your car or buggy. The normal failsafe works by returning the brake and throttle to a set position if the radio signal fails. This is all well and good apart from when you get total loss of power. Say the battery supply cable to the receiver gets broken on a foreign object entering the car or the car has a sudden jolt etc. In this case the engine would stick in the current throttle position and your existing failsafe would have no effect as it needs power to get to its failsafe position.
This clever device provides the solution. This kit utilises the third channel on your radio. It plugs straight into the third or Aux channel on your receiver one end and there are two cables (supplied with the kit) that run to the existing stop switch on the engine. If you loose electric power to the receiver the engine stops, if the radio is switched off the engine stops, if the batteries in the transmitter or receiver run dangerously low the engine stops, if you hit the third channel on your transmitter the engine stops. The engine will not start untill you have power to the receiver and the transmitter on. This therefore provides the ultimate protection for your expensive model. One more benefit is that you can leave your existing electronic failsafe in place as it works alongside. This way you get every possibility of failure covered and total protection from this kit.
Installation is easy. This involves running the cables supplied from the receiver box position to the existing engine kill switch. You can remove the existing fixed kill switch by taking of the female connectors. The male/spade connectors on the kit go directly into the existing switch harness. Plug the other end of the system into the third channel on your receiver. Carefully place the kill switch device into your existing receiver box alongside your receiver and your ready to go.
The beauty of this system is that when you have finished racing you can simply turn off the switch on your car or on your transmitter and the engine will stop instantly. No need to keep the hard switch in place.
