Looked at the weather this morning. 4 dead 1.5 million without power in D.C. Yesterday it has 118f in a place in Kansas. I think the corn crop is at a critical stage in the midwest, this heat will lower the quanity of the harvest if it keeps up--- just saying.

If you have to work in this extreme heat, forget the Gatorade and other junk. buy unflavored Peda lite. this is what mothers give to kids. mix this 50 -50 with water, eat lots of fruit. Hope the best fo those in this weather---

Yes I agree with ya Cordy. It could get rough. As for the power in America. Our power grid is in sad shape. We should have overhauled it years ago. Its to the point now if its overloaded because of this heat and starts to go under voltage, we could be hurten units real quick.
 
It's been unusually warm here in the north east and just switched jobs a few weeks ago to working in a cooler warehouse 35-40° all night.
 
Here I go agan-- I gotta wonder if the weather is effected by our sun. We have had several solar flares in the last few days- earth directed. I do know this for a fact- the suns rays are stronger than they used to be. But at the same time the light is not as bright as it used to be.- Last spring here at my place the baby leaves on the plants seemed to just curl up and waste away even though the temp was only about 70-80 degrees. During this time the sun was really acting up. - its all connected to a degree. Man caused earth warming? remote at best.
 
I tell desert stories to the folks up north. Waching lizards standing on 3 legs, alternating this stance every few seconds, always had 1 foot in the air when it became very hot. Heres one-- if you have a fairly air tight car and all the vents are closed, if this car has been in the desert sun all day - its best to not slam the door shut. Why you people up north wonder? The glue that holds the windsheld can become so soft that the cars windshelid can end up on the hood.- I used to turn off my gas hot water heater- it sat on the back porch, about june. Why? because this is how you kept the water cool! The insulation on the H2o heater.- Desert heat is not the same as the heat back east folks, it can be 80 degrees and in the shade it seems cool.- no moisture - your bodies moisture acts just like a swamp cooler. Its not so bad when you adjust to a desert climate. It shure is nice in the winter months down there- lets your old bones dry out!
 
100+ degree weather isn't so bad, but when you combine that with high humidity, there's nothing worse. And if you have a swamp cooler, I feel for you.
 
About 68 here as I'm writing this at 10:00 at night. It was about 75 - 80 here today but it wasn't too bad. It's good go to the lake and cool off weather. It's been pretty good here so far this summer. It's been raining a fair amount the last few days intermittently. It has otherwise been good weather.

I remember posting how nice the weather was here AZ last winter. Now I'm jealous. :) Your weather sounds perfect.

So far :) The weather up here has been pretty odd most of last and this year. For example, snow in October last year, 70 degree weather in March when its usually 40 to 50. In May we had some odd weather because for 3 days one week the humidity was high enough to make opening a door a major effort. That is pretty uncommon for up here. I'm complaining by no means, I'd rather be melting into a chair than frozen to it. :D lol
 
I am so glad that I don't live in Yuma anymore it was way to hot .If we wanted to go riding it was done at night out at buttercup. Thursday at 1 pm it was a blazing 68 outside welcome to Idaho
