Broken front shock absorber support see the picture
I lose the control due to low receive battery

Sand storm fighting
I was in very bad sand storm but I decided to still run it it was like fighting the sands and going crazy..things run fine until I end up having 2wd jeep I thought that it was the ratio between front and rear diff changed and the front diff still has at least 30 to 40 % power but it has not..

I enjoy having 2wd with less control and much difficult to climb..big sand dunes..but at the end my FG was just spinning..see the pictures..I not that skill driver I know but what is your advise shall I go for metal spur gear? what about the front axle why it was broken? any reason that make it happen? 2wd something wrong?? I have no clue

what that mean is it overheated? sorry I'm not expert and new to this hobby

Yes mate, you've overheated the clutch.I have done this and the shoes were in bits. Yes,change the spur to metal and fit a failsafe device or better still a kill switch.
J.

Can you update your location please.

Hi mate...Front drives can break or come out if you land bad, it pushes one wheel to far round and drive can pop out... i find if u put a spring or a piece of fuel tube in drive hub on diff, that this should keep it pressed into drive cup on wheels....steering stops should help to..there must be too much load on clutch for this to be overheating.make sure evrything is running freely.u can also get a vented clutch bell, this may help u.but i would'nt advise this if u r running in sand..Hope this helps...

Thanks..oh yah regarding my location my country yas not listed..so I chooce where I used to study US-Denver..how to get more counties in that list? why the clutch was overheated..I run it only for one tank? 2wd why it happen maybe because of lost front axle so all the power shifted to the back? I wish I can alway swap between 2wd to 4wd when need it..maybe thay will be my next project to work it out with your help..

Sportman,

First, welcome to the forum.

Looking from your overheated clutch bell and worn gears, you most definitely overloaded the drive-train somehow. Perhaps going up a hill for too long without letting off the throttle.
I will second what Voo said about the kill switch. That is a must, that way if you start loosing signal or power, the whole motor will just shut down.
I will also second what wagon said about putting something in the drivecups to prevent the shafts from popping out. I found that a hard rubber grommet works the best for me, but fuel tubing works fine as well. Also, you can limit the throw on your servo, so you can prevent your wheels from turning too much.

What country are you from? Since you said sand storm, i'm Figuring Dubai. It must be a blast to drive on sand dunes!! ;)

thanks for your help guys yah I was going so fast pushing it so hard..full throuttle..I love when it's going fast..I'm from Dubai..ok why I was having 2wd only?? because the fron axle lost ot my belt it lose I still not checked it out

You should definitely upgrade some parts for steel or alloy. I would start with the gear and maybe the shock caps.

Don't you have one of the biggest sand dune sin the world in Dubai? Must be great to run your RC's there!!

You can change your location to any country. Follow this: https://www.largescaleforums.com/showthread.php?t=5865

Here is an example of Dubai.

If running in sand you may want to swap your clutch shoes backward. This will allow it to seat forward instead of drag into place. The overheating I would expect is from the clutch shoes sliding against the bell because of the sand. May want to look into a better clutch assembly.
The plastic gear will not work long in sand, go metal as stated.
The drive train will snap if you don't get off the gas when on a landing. Picture being on a 4 wheeler or in a baja. Take it over a dune and would you keep your foot planted on the throttle? Or would you let off, land, then get on the throttle?

Sound like BIG fun however!!

Im not surprised its broken. I think I would roll over & die if somebody tried thrashing me to the top of that 'hill' :clown::white-flag::laugh:

Guys I need some help for upgrading my parts
can someone list the parts I should go for with the part number that I can check online or from Dubai Hobby center

My Jeep is still with them last time I tried to order online metal spur gear and end up receiving diff gear instead of spur..lack of experience :) by the way what is metal differential gear?? as hobby center technician call my Sir that's wrong part!!!
