I have had a couple of Zenoah manifolds fail, the brass insert pulls through the plastic and the intake leaks, I ruined one engine this way. This is what I do to the CY to make it "better". I did not port the inside yet, but this is what I do to increase the sealing surface

What it looks like when I start.

I screw a couple bolts into the threads so I can start a tap later

Fill er up with the real JB, the stuff that sets over 24 hours.

I remove the bolts once the JB sets and drill the holes through and tap the JB weld.

THen I sand it all flat on some 320 them 660 wet/dry.

I can't see where that will hurt anything and every little bit should help. Thanks for sharing the post of the " How to: "

I am messing with a cnc program right now to do some consistant porting on the cy cylinders .

I am going to try one of the extended aluminum intake . I got two from DDM on my last order. They take the teflon gakets anyone tried them ? Haven't ran mine yet.

I hope to lay low on all the pipe mods for a while I can finally get my truck mods installed and give you a report on my long intake. July till now is long enough she is screaming for some Amsoil shaken 100 LL octane avgas in her tank. CNC ported stuffed strok crank 28.5 cc tuned pipe Custom Fab boost bottle, full chromoly roll cage lipo reciever pack all digital servo breathen monster with some other mods

Yes, I run aluminum intakes on all my stuff. THey are reusable, won't come apart, and are worth every penny. They port match real easy too.
Does the intake make a difference? You said they "Are worth every penny" what does it do? Low end mid top???

Thanks,

Trip.. (yup same guy from Largescale...)

The short ones increase torque, and the long ones increase hp, I think I have that rite..... If you have ever cracked one or had the inserts pull out on you you would never run a cy or Zenoah intake again. I prefer the cy manifolds if I was to pick one, but the aluminum ones are the best.

We gotta do somthing about that avitar trip. Just buy a redcat and join the club.
