Ross and I made a road trip, well ferry trip, to Vancouver Island to go check out Moo's newly built off road track. What a blast. I am just going to copy and paste pics and vids here

I take it the Jeep's 4WD judging by some of the shots, with the fronts swollen up?
Not sure about the silly hats on the SC car!! :D:D:D (I understand they're damping for the bodyshell!)

Good photos. Looks like you had a blast.
Al.

ya I just tossed some foam in there. it really saved the body. I do a similar thing to my TB2 as well. if you push on the body on the cen, all the force is on the windshield. it was sure to break there. being a new rc I had never driven until on the track, I had no idea what to expect..

here's a couple more vids

running the other way in this one

I lost a screw in the bottom of the steering knuckle and a wheel nut came loose.. oh I broke a clutchbell day 1 but it was able to rub a bit on the new aluminum gear plate I installed. new one is on and fine now. I changed gearing trying some prototype gears out. not cheap but I like the no setscrew idea a lot.

I haven't had that much fun in a long while. we are going back to the island to a different track in 2 weeks. and a local group looks like are going to open an off road track soon. that will kick arse

Even that redcat rally ran good out there. just added some fg marder tires and had at it. was a buddy of mine that we stayed with that was driving (trying to get him into 5th scales). had to hack the body up some but I was planning on getting a mini body anyway

Hi Chris. the sc truck is 4wd, it's the new cen matrix5. almost identical wheelbase as the tb2. I was going to buy the body and tires for my tb2 but ended up getting a whole truck. the tires actually work really good, I just have to improve my steering response as it's painfully slow... that'll be fixed today as I only have a small job to do then adding a second servo...

is Nutech going to release an SC truck now?

Most of the rc's at this were Nutech's and Redcats

Pipe,

We have plan for SC, but will be 2011 project.:D:)

Cool, I prefer the 2 gears on the side rather than 4 (like the TB2 etc), less crap to go wrong. I just really like SC trucks, they look real. something you would see in the real 1:1 world.

if you watched our vids, you can see the nutech's take a beating. I just fixed my buggy body. one of those steel caged mt's drove over me and split it twice by the pull start... now I am modifying the steering knuckles. I have the pre production model so gotta expect little things but I think I have it figured. just need to make some new pivot bolts, get the dremmel fired up, and use red loktite... the last couple vids I was running with one pivot screw missing and 2 loose LOL. was ok until a bottom one fell out. it's somewhere on the track... hey moo, find that silver screw for me. ;)
