just made it about 4 months on stock throttle servo and the failed failsafe the kit came with . Holly shyt this thing went full throttle across the parkinglot into the wall of a building . Parts broken..... Servo and some stucco hahaha go redcat. Is there any other servo's just as good as hitec and savox without the bigger price and what kind of torque should I be looking for... thanks in advance

Yeah, the failsafe won't help when a servo goes out. Ya gotta get the kill switch. I replace the throttle servos and install the kill switch before I ever run it for the first time.

Sorry to hear of your wreck.

I knew I was playing with fire almost had it to the chain link fence but clipped the corner of the building all is good I had a extra servo from my losi i threw in and the reinforcement job on the xsc body Crazy tuff..

OMG im seeing more and more crashes due to throttle servo issues!!! someone needs to sticky throttle servo issues or something to prevent 200 dollar crashes from happening, or if your too cheep to buy servos then buy the killer bee kill switch!! i wish i would have looked at all this poop before i crashed mine!!

yea but if i would have seen a stickie on electronics board where it said servo issues i would have went to it immediatly...loli belong to 2 other forums for my real car, i know how to use forums. Its just if i wasnt looking for it so how would i know.

They are kind of hit or miss. If they are set up correctly it is possible to get some good use out of them.

The servo's are a known problem on the Redcat 1/5th'. It is well documented on the forum. Most people get a Hitec 645 or equivalent which is bulletproof. The steering servo's are cheap as well. They also should be replaced with a Hitec or equivalent. After that the frame will rust out before you have to replace it :D

I search the forum, or check electronics chances are someone else had or is having the same problem.

Yea but what I'm saying is, unless I knew it was a problem I wouldn't have looked, but if it was stickied permanently at the top with a title like " steering servo issues" or "faulty steering from factory" I would have looked and been like hhhhmmmm maybe I should buy the killer bee or a new servo asap

I ran my MT with stock servos for the first 6 months. When I swapped out the throttle/brake servo it was still good. A year later the steering servos are still going strong. I'm going to throw 7.4 volts through them just to see if I can kill them.
