Anybody do anything different as far as the cheezy rods that run all the way back to the carb and rear brake.. Mine are bent a little and are flexing to much before they even work.. I'm thinking of getting the same size rod and making a little stronger ones, has anyone done anything to eliviate the issue.

thanks

Derek

Hang loose my friend...Pipeous has done some thing different....
using brake cable & inner wire......He will have to fill you in on the details...Slaw

mountain bike shifter cable is what I use. it doesn't wear on the tank and stuff like the wire either. just run solder through the wire before you cut it with a dremmel to keep it clean and together. on one I soldered a crimping tool end, closed circle for the carb end... another I had a cable connection and soldered a bulb on the end

I used it for my front brake kit modded onto the back of the semi as well. lots of pics http://s304.photobucket.com/albums/nn181/Pipeous/RC/FG_Semi/

I find the Fg rods seems ot be pretty tough. 6125/01 gives you the rod and some collars. Bent the right way and you will be able to not touch anything. I've used these on my Elcon Cleon.
