hi all, what sort of power (kg) would i need if i want to put front cable disks on my fg, ive got futaba s3050 is that any good i think its about 6 or 7kg?

Go for the most powerful one you can afford!

I will be swapping out to the Z9100T soon. This servo cranks my Baja brakes tight.
I was also thinking about the DS8711 If I can find that one. It would be awesome and I would not reduce speed either.

Oh, and can you say 3 year warranty!

i was hoping that the one i have is good enough cause ive already had to buy two throttle/brake cause i got them wet! is it powerfull enough?

Wrap those servo's up in a penny balloon and use small o-ring on shaft under the horn to help keep from getting wet and shorting out the servo's......Water does not like electronic's
no matter what the servo cost is.....Just my thoughts here..Slawhammer

In a word... NO! That servo will run the throttle and stock rear brake, but it does not have enough torque to operate the cable brakes.. I am using the Hitec 5955 with 333oz of torque for both front cables and stock rear. I am about to add another servo for the stock rear, because even with 333oz of torque it just doesn't quite have enough for both..
Check these guys out..

Trip..

P.S. If you decide to get another servo, any brand servo will plug directly into your Futaba Receiver..

Speed: 0.20 sec/60° @ 4.8V
.16 sec/60° @ 6V
Torque: 72 oz-in @ 4.8V
90 oz-in @ 6V
Size: 1.6 x 0.8 x 1.5" (40 x 20 x 38mm)_
Weight: 1.7oz (49g)

NO 90 is real bad. This will not stop any 1/5 scale model.
