Throttle Mess!

Hi Guy's,


Just got thru installing a new OBR Full Mod w/990 ,in my MT.While installing the motor,I also upgraded the throttle servo to a Hi Tech 5645.


Now my problem...When I hooked up the throttle and brake linkages,I noticed the throttle side now gets into my airfilter.So,I tried mounting the throttle linkage to the underside of the servo horn with no luck.Still hits filter and binds when going to brake.


I also noticed that my brake linkage is sloping down more now than before.Does the 5645 sit a tad bit higher than stock?Or is it perhaps the servo horn I'm using?It the "straight across"plastic one that came with the servo.


At this point I don't know if I need a new servo horn and or air filter.Has a TGN on it now.If anyone else has ran into this or can help me out it would be much appreciated....Thanks,Joe

Cross the 2 linkages that should clear the filter

Wouldn't that be too much of an angle for the throttle linkage?

THANK YOU lldy666! Just got finished crossing them up.No binding in the linkage.The brake linkage does drag just a lil bit on the foam of the filter...and my Outerwear just ain't gonna happen.But Hey at least it's on the brake and not the throttle!Does anyone have an idea as to what filter might clear on this setup.The one that is not clearing is a TGN.

Inclined shred stack will do the trick to use the outerwears.

af504 with set up soon looks good.

i have been on this for so time . cover clamp ring is very tight . i softened the grip and works great for easy off and on. bang for the buck 2stage oil setup $12

definitely should run a sock ! even if its a disposable

IKA,I will do my best to post you up some video when I get some free time.Regarding the OBR Full Mod,You WILL NOT be dissapointed!Just got the motor broke in yesterday.Sounds mean at an idle,and even meaner as its pulling through its RPM range.I'm very impressed and the folks at OBR are very helpful and a pleasure to deal with.
