Hey Guys,
I have a HPI 5T I bought used, Truck was in great shape, Put on some new Hostile mxt's and few other misc parts, The radio is the standard HPI FM radio, The throttle servo was intermitten, It would work for a while , when I would run the car it would stop, then start again, Thinking it was a servo on the way out I replaced the HPI servo with a Futaba from one of my planes, Its doing the same thing It will work for a while then quit the whole time the steering is working fine, Ive checked the connections, When I turn the car/radio off and restart it , it starts working again, Could it be a bad reciever or maybe the "Failsafe" needs adjusting or is bad, The reciever pack seems to have planty of battery so I don't think its that, I plan on replacing the radio with a DX3C as soon as my hobby fund recovers, but till then I need to figure out the problem any help would be really appreciated

Could be many things but if it is the receiver not worth putting the money in to a new one if you are going to get a new radio. Problem with standard FM is you can get a lot of interference. You could try turning off the fail safe and see what happens. I all so recommend getting a Killer Bee remote kill switch when you get a new radio. On heavy large scale vehicles if you have a runaway it could do a lot of damage and be a liability not even talking about the damage to your vehicle.
